Hey, nobody ever said filmmaking was easy! So let us help you help yourself and your industry with business and political contacts that make our jobs — and our lives — a little easier.
Michigan Multimedia Jobs Act
It was a major disappointment that the Multimedia Jobs Act legislation failed to get out of the legislature in 2024. We came very close! But our work is more than legislative policy—it is the heartbeat of our community. Together, we have built a network of creators, collaborators, and storytellers who inspire hope and action. Let’s continue to do what we do best: creating, advocating, and bringing people together through the power of film and media. Our commitment to fostering this artistry has remained steadfast, even during uncertain times. We will continue to promote and advocate for legislative initiatives that acknowledge our value to the creative economy.

Your Representative knows your neighborhood. Make sure they know where your business is located and the skills that are needed in today's high-tech digital economy.
How to contact your representative
Share your reason for supporting the Multimedia Jobs Act. Ask your Michigan Rep to vote YES on the bill that boosts job opportunities, small businesses, and spurs Michigan productions.

There are fewer State Senators than Representatives, so they represent more people. Meet them in person and stand out from the crowd.

Whether you write, text, phone call or visit, share your personal story with your legislators. How will industry incentives make a difference for you?

Attend a coffee with your legislator whenever you can. Keep the relationship friendly, respectful, and professional. Share often about the importance of our West Michigan multimedia industry.
